Denise brings over twenty years of leadership and human resources experience to Mission Accomplished Consulting LLC. She and her team provides expertise in all HR, risk management and asset protection functions, including employment law and regulatory compliance (Affordable Care Act, FMLA, COBRA, ADA, Unemployment, Workers Compensation, OSHA/Safety, etc.) consultation, organizational design, handbook and policy development, payroll, benefits administration, recruitment and retention efforts, management development and leadership and life coaching!
Denise's operations management experience in the "nonprofit world" ranges from front-line management to director-level positions, supplemented by her experience in human resources administration. In the healthcare field, she's held many leadership positions serving people with developmental disabilities and psychiatric disorders within both residential and day habitation facilities. As an Assistant Director of Programming and Operations, she oversaw Intermediate Care Facilities and Individualized Residential Alternative programs for people needing 24-hour medical supervision and other services. She directly supervised the medical staff, clinical staff and front-line supervisors and has a solid history of facilitating diverse inter-disciplinary teams.
As Chairwoman for the federally mandated Incident Review and Human Rights Committees in her organization, she ensured individuals received the least restrictive medical and behavioral interventions necessary. She has been commended by state and federal auditors for her role in advancing her organization toward a Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) certification.
In her role as Director of Human Resources & Employee Development, she received an award for her initiation and development of systems that cut operating costs while promoting a culture of continuous learning and quality improvement.
This experience is complimented by her previous role on the Board of Directors for a civic organization whose mission is to address community development and quality of life issues on a micro and macro level. This history enables her to relate to the needs of her clients and their customers. It also provides her with an ability to provide practical and pragmatic solutions to their problems. She understand the importance of trust and confidentiality in building effective client relationships.
Denise understands the challenges and budget restraints her nonprofit and small business clients have. Her and her husband have successfully run small businesses, including Packard Cabinetry of Hendersonville. In addition to her experience in the private business sector, Denise has extensive experience working with agencies whose missions included addressing the needs of the homeless, substance abusers, and people with mental illness. She is confident that the mission can be accomplished despite budgetary restraints!
At Mission Accomplished Consulting, research-based information is integrated into strategic plans. Upon graduating from Cornell University in 1995 with a BS in Human Services and a concentration in Program Planning and Development, Denise developed a passion and talent for addressing human resource challenges in the workplace. This passion motivated her to pursue an MS in Organizational Management, with a concentration in Human Resource Management, from St. Joseph's College, in Patchogue, NY, in 2003.
Denise has a solid record of decreasing operation costs, litigation risks, facilitating cite-free audits from the New York State Office of Persons with Developmental Disabilities (Formerly OMRDD), increasing retention and employee performance, as well as decreasing operations costs significantly. She is a team player with a history of leveraging employee conflict by using it to influence positive changes! She believes in identifying how success will be measured by her clients, and she commits to meeting those standards.
